HCA & Mann Cinema 6 Hopkins Cinema 6

A vision for bringing A&E to Mainstreet

These two developments sit on a site that was for many years the home of Suburban Chevrolet. In the mid-1990s Suburban Chevrolet moved to Eden Prairie, making this key Mainstreet property available for redevelopment.

City leaders had a vision of bringing an entertainment and arts focus to Mainstreet. In the fall of 1996 the Hopkins Cinema 6 opened its doors, followed shortly after by the Hopkins Center for the Arts in 1997. These two important projects bring many visitors to Hopkins and add to the quality of life of our residents.
